 t\, largest\, and best-loved exhibition in North Dakota and Western Minnes
 ota has returned.  The annual Midwestern Art Exhibition is held every year
  to celebrate the founding of The Rourke Gallery on June 18-19\, 1960\, an
 d features art from artists across the United States.  They present works 
 in all media\, all centered around a single theme: 'Daughters and Sons of 
 Art History.'\nThe theme for this year's Midwestern Exhibition was inspire
 d by Yasumasa Morimura's portfolio\, in which he created portraits of hims
 elf in the styles of admired artists.\nHaving concluded an extensive const
 ruction project\, the Museum will also be unveiling two new galleries\, 19
 x19' in dimension\, which overlook the Main Gallery and will house two new
  exhibitions that have never been seen before at The Rourke Art Gallery Mu
 suem.  In the East Gallery will be the 'Tres Eras de la Tierra Nuestra' ex
 hibit\, featuring art of the Mexican region from the Pre-Columbian\, Colon
 ial\, and Contemporary time periods.  In the West Gallery will be an exhib
 ition on Islamic Art\, representing culture in Egypt\, Persia\, and India.
