Jazz Arts Big Band featuring Conrad Herwig, trombone in concert October 25, 2008 at the Fargo Theatre. Conrad Herwig began his professional career with the Clark Terry Big Band and the Buddy Rich Orch. After locating permanently in New York he performed with Slide Hampton’s World of Trombones, Mel Lewis, Bob Mintzer, Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, the Max Roach Sextet, Bob Stewart. He is currently Professor of Jazz Trombone, Jazz Improvisation, and Jazz Comp/Arr at Rutgers,The State University of New Jersey. One of the most in-demand jazz educators, Conrad Herwig is a Conn-Selmer clinician and performs exclusively on Bach Stradivarius trombones.
