The final concert of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony's Masterworks season will be a dignitary-studded celebration event, offered free to the public. Speakers will include Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker, Moorhead Mayor Mark Voxland, and other elected national, state and local officials (depending on their availability each date) will give brief remarks, and other community flood-fighting entities will be recognized and honored.

The orchestra had originally planned a performance “Requiem” by Hector Berlioz, a once-in-a-lifetime performance of a rarely-played masterpiece, on those dates. Unfortunately, our once-in-a-lifetime concert was trumped by a once-in-a-lifetime flood.

Through the generosity of our sponsors - Gate City Bank, Innovis, The Forum, Rising Sun Construction, Serkland Law Firm, Kiwanis Club of Fargo, Dr. Tim Mahoney, Knight Printing, and Dakota Medical Foundation – we are able to offer this event free to the public in appreciation of the tremendous flood-fighting volunteer efforts.
