Music inspired by dance rhythms is performed in a delightfully varied program by the Viotti String Quartet, bassist Alex Pershounin, and harpist Sarahlyn Robinson-Scott, all of whom are members of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra. Pieces include Debussy's "Sacred and Profane Dances," tangos by Astor Piazzolla, a disco string quartet, a little Led Zeppelin, and even a world premiere: "Sonata a la Blues" by Alex Pershounin for bass and string quartet.
