    Beautiful and functional pottery pieces can be made without using a pottery wheel. Using hand-building techniques such as the coil and slab methods, you'll create several pieces using these techniques. Traditional decorating techniques such as slip trailing and painting with engobes will be covered in the class. Carrie Savageau, local artist and art teacher, will share her passion for clay art. Projects will be fired and clear glazed at the end of class and returned to students in four–six weeks. This class is specifically designed for beginners.
