WORKING paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the teacher, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, the fireman and the housewife, just to name a few. The hopes, dreams, joys and concerns of the average working American take focus in this extraordinary musical based on Studs Terkel’s landmark interviews and featuring an eclectic and tuneful score by Stephen Schwartz, James Taylor, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers and Craig Carnelia. WORKING is for anyone who has ever punched a time clock, boss, co-worker… or wanted to.
