A delightful adaptation of Judith Viorst’s popular children’s book. From the beginning of Alexander’s day to the end, he encounters one bad event after another. He wakes up with gum in his hair, his mother forgets a dessert in his lunch, his best friend decides he’s not his best friend anymore, his brothers don’t have any cavities but he does, and the cool tennis shoes he picked are not available in his size. Just when things couldn’t get any worse, there are lima beans for supper and kissing on TV! To escape these terrible, horrible events, Alexander thinks moving to Australia will solve his problems. At bedtime Alexander shares his feelings with his mom who says some days are like this — even in Australia.

Audiences of all ages will identify with Alexander’s daily struggles yet know tomorrow is another day.
