Get some relief this spring with an introductory class on the oldest form of printmaking. Participants will transfer drawings to a block and create a black and white relief print over this two-session course. The goal of the course is to give students confidence in carving and printing relief prints. Please purchase a Speedball Linocuter Assortment No. 1 available at Mathison's, Michaels or Hobby Lobby before class. You must also bring a black and white 10" x 8" sketch. Appropriate for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Practice With Printmaking Participants will enjoy the fabulous PEARS studio in the renovated downtown campus of North Dakota State University (the former home of Northern School Supply). Eric Johhson is currently a visual arts lecturer at NDSU in Fargo and has taught intro and advanced printmaking at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He also interns with the Printmaking, Education and Research Studio doing print research and studio maintenance. He received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in printmaking from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science degree in art from NDSU.
