From Nero to Mark O'Connor and Natalie MacMaster, fiddling has warmed homes and dance halls. Learn basic old-time fiddling by ear and tune sheets. No music reading or violin/fiddle experience necessary. Must have recently tuned instrument and bow. Ann Schluter has taught Suzuki violin and piano for 30 years and taught beginning fiddling on the Turtle Mountain Reservation for 12 years. She is past president of the North Dakota Old Time Fiddlers Association and has written a fiddle method with CD and recorded an album of waltzes. Fee includes tune book and CD. **Check with local music stores for short-term instrument rental if needed.
