Summer Cinema 2010, in conjunction with MSUM Film Studies, proudly presents an exciting series of eight weekly film programs featuring retrospective showings of som of Hollywood's greatest stars in their best-loved and most popular motion pictures, as well as rare, seldom-seen and "lost" films. Tickets available at the door-$3

Films are shown Monday evenings throughout the summer, beginning June 7 and continuing through July 26, in air-conditioned Weld Hall. Each program runs approximately two hours. Film titles are subject to change without notice. Introductions to the films are provided by faculty members of MSUM, Concordia College and the University of North Dakota.

Tonight's film is Suds (1920), a silent comedy starring Mary Pickford and Albert Austin; directed by John Francis Dillon.

Pre-show pipe organ music and scores for the silent films are performed by Red River Chapter members of the American Theatre Organ Society, chartered in the FM area in 1965. The Red River Chapter owns the organ (on permanent loan to MSUM) and maintains it. It is one of five theatre organs installed at colleges and universities in the nation. Chapter members who perform pre-show music and scores for the silent films include Lance Johnson, Dave Knudtson, Tyler Engberg and Steve Eneboe.
