    Upcoming Artist Johnathan Miller presents "Gallery Crowd with Advertisements for Myself and Other Paintings". 

    Beginning with textured layers and large abstract marks of paint, Johnathan allows the medium be what it is and gives his attention over to the quality of composition and subject matter in loosely painted, often abstract portraits and figure studies. The muted color palette is used to draw the viewer closer to the painting so that they may examine the texture, the lines and brushstrokes in the same way Johnathan did as he worked on the piece. When viewing art, Johnathan believes it is important not only to step back and see the compositions as a whole, but also to look closely at all the details that define it.
