An exhibition of collage, watercolor and mixed media artwork by Moorhead native Joyce Savre (Palo Alto, CA.) Joyce E. Savre was born and raised in Moorhead, Minnesota. She attended Concordia College for 2 years before graduating from St. Barnabas School of Nursing in l970 RN and University of Wisconsin, Madison for B.S. in ’75. She has worked as a registered nurse in psychiatry for 30 years at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Married to Jim Hutt, they have 2 children, both freshmen in college this year. She is represented by The Studio Shop in Burlingame and Gallery 9 in Los Altos—both California galleries. “In my first art class at Concordia, a friend and I sat on 4th Street and painted the Rourke Art Gallery. I would never have dreamed that 40 some years later I‘d have paintings hanging inside. I thank James O’Rourke for his support and this opportunity.”
