OPENING RECEPTION-Frederick Benedict Scheel played a number of roles in addition to bring a leader in business. As a collector, he amassed one of the finest collections of photography in the country. As a photographer, he studied with luminaries like Ansel Adams and became a notable photographer in his own right. The Frederick B. Scheel Collection showcases a selection from 267 works by Scheel and others donated to Plains Art Museum by the Scheel family.
