Reception for "My Journey, My Story"

Join us as we honor the second round participants for "My Journey, My Story", an auxiliary exhibit held in conjunction with the traveling exhibit, "Becoming American: Teenagers & Immigration".

We hosted a writing contest inviting local students to write an essay about their own experiences coming to or living in a country different from their parents' country of origin.

The first round winners were honored at the opening reception on Jan. 11. We added a second deadline to encourage more students to participate. A total of 25 students participated in the second round. The students will read from their essays at the reception.
