Designing Exhibits on a Budget Workshop

The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will host the Minnesota Historic Northwest Consortium workshop on exhibit design insights and case display details in the Oak Room at the Hjemkomst Center. The workshop was originally scheduled for Tuesday April 12 but had to be rescheduled to Tuesday, April 19, 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. due to the river levels.

Guest speakers Claudia M. Pratt (Exhibit & Program Designer) and Pam Burkhart (Museum Curator/Collections Manager) will share insights into overall theme development and exhibit design techniques as well as some inexpensive ways to create attractive, interesting, educational and secure case displays.

The cost is $10 per person. To register, please send your name to tedevold@me.com or call 218-785-2000 and leave your name and phone number. A pre-meeting head count is needed, but you can pay at the door. Snacks will be provided; lunch on your own after the meeting.
