Advances in computer systems and related technologies have enormous social and ethical implications. Smartphones and social networks are technology examples that have risen to prominence very rapidly. In this course we explore and discuss how the lives of people are affected through such technologies in terms of quality of life, use of power and control, risks and responsibility, privacy, equity and access and honesty and deception.
