Photographs from the book by Dr. Carll Goodpasture Dr. Carll Goodpasture, a research biologist and photographer, arrived in Fargo, ND from Los Angeles, CA in the early 1970’s. He found himself surrounded by a landscape that was totally foreign and fascinating to him. At the time, Black Elk Speaks was a popular book, so Dr Goodpasture took on a project of walking in the moccasins of Black Elk to experience this new geography from a Native American point of view. Eric Gooding and Dr Goodpasture will speak about the native view of spiritual engagement with nature. Also on exhibit, New Work by Elizabeth Austin, The Remberance of Things Past by Cindy Finely Mintie and Organci Progression, Zak Helenske's Pottery. We are also hosting a reception on Friday, June 26 @ 1.30 p.m.for Carll Goodpasture and Eric Gooding. This event is free and open to the public. For information call us at 701-231-7069 or email ndsu.mugallery@live.com
