Changing Perceptions of the American Indian
July 7-September 13, 2009
Add Review/Comment
This show encompasses more than 400 years worth of representation of the indigenous population and explores the changing portrayal of these and many varied people. Etchings by Theodore de Bry, arts and artifacts from regional tribes, and contemporary pieces by both Native and non-Native populations explore how the image of the Native American has never, and will never be static.
