The Tom McGrath Visiting Writers series is pleased to celebrate the publication of new books by two of our very own MFA in Creative Writing graduates. Dean Hulse, author of Westhope: Life as a Former Farm Boy, and  Merrie Sue Holtan, author of Power and Stride: The Nancy Burggaf Story. Dean Hulse is a freelance writer and an activist for issues of land use, renewable energy and sustainable agriculture. He lives in Fargo. Merrie Sue Holtan has been an instructor in communications for more tan twenty years and currently teaches at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
