The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later
October 12, 2009
Add Review/Comment
Theatre B, the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition and the Pride Collective & Community Center will present a global follow-up epilogue of the powerful play and movie, “The Laramie Project.” The epilogue focuses on the long-term effects of the hate murder of Matthew Shepard, who was brutally killed in Laramie, Wyo., in 1998. The depravity of his murder galvanized activists in a call to eradicate anti-gay violence and hate crimes.
The presentation will include a live webcast with the authors of The Laramie Project as well as a conversation about hate in our community following the performance. The Pride Collective & Community Center will also be presenting their F-M Area National Coming Out Day Awards to an individual and organization that have worked to make Fargo-Moorhead a more inclusive and safe community for all people.
