Experience the 2009 Concordia Christmas Concerts created and staged for national distribution on public television. Art, narration, dramatic lighting and music by 450 students musicians produce the regions most dramatic Christmas celebration. The re-imagined Christmas story takes viewers and audience members on a musical "Journey to Bethlehem," combining the pageantry of opera, the grandeur of choral orchestral masterworks, and the intimacy of delicate solos and duets. Composer Dr. René Clausen weaves sonorous and celebratory Christmas music throughout the production for both large and small ensembles. A magnificent art installation, by newly commissioned artist Paul Johnson, transforms the 3,000-seat hall.
