You Can't Take it With You
October 27-November 5, 2006
Add Review/CommentRemember how as a kid, you wished you lived in a freewheeling household without bedtimes and nagging parents? Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “You Can’t Take It With You” plunks you smack in the middle of just such a house. Penny Sycamore makes the most of a typewriter’s mistaken delivery and becomes a novelist. Her husband is holed up in the basement churning out fireworks. The family’s quirks become a bit of a liability when the straightest-laced member, Alice, brings home her wealthy fiancé. The Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre explores the comic consequences at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, with more shows Nov. 2 through 5. Tickets are $6 to $15, based on age.
