    More than 1,200 students from 81 countries call NDSU and Fargo their home. The Office of International Programs (OIP) at NDSU office provides advising and support services for prospective and enrolled international students and also processes applications for admission of new undergraduate international students and Intensive English Language Program students. During their stay at NDSU, international students can seek advice from OIP international student advisors on matters such as immigration requirements, employment, adjusting to life in the United States, health and personal issues, and academic problems. In addition to services for international students, the OIP's faculty and scholar services staff work closely with the campus community to facilitate the hosting of scholars from around the globe and assist with securing U.S. work authorization for permanent and temporary teaching and research faculty. Also housed within the OIP is NDSU's Study Abroad program, where advisors work with students planning for and participating in educational programs abroad and with faculty involved in leading study programs overseas.
