    The Brant School of Dance Arts, Fargo, has a strong family heritage in the dance world. First opened in 1949 by Clare Brant of the Experimental Dance Theater of Maine, and Letitia Brant of the Chicago Civic Oopera Ballet and Kansas City Conservatory, daughter Marnee Brant reopened the school in 2002. Marnee's dance background includes study with her parents, Robert Lunnon of Royal Alegra Ballet in Chicago, San Diego Ballet, International Ballet Master David Howard, and three years with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

    The new Brant studio teaches over 100 students in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, performance dance, voice, and cheerleading dance.

    Performances have included an annual May concert, holiday shows, fundraisers, parades, trade shows, nursing home tours, and placements in professional touring companies.

    They have traveled to Winnipeg, Manitoba, New Yourk City, and Los Angeles for additional study. Their trip to New York City resulted in a feature story in the October, 2004, issue of Dance Magazine.

    Director Marnee Brant has been invided to bring her students to Dance Excellence in Los Angeles as the North Dakota representative each year since 2005. As Dance Excellence attendees, Brant students attend three days of classes and perform at Disneyland.
